Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department has announced the arrest of Amilcar Seliano Ramos Mejia, 32, of Takoma Park, Maryland, for 2nd Degree Assault.
According to police, “On May 29, at approximately 12:09 am, officers responded to a report of an assault that had just occurred in the 1100 block of Kirklynn Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who reported a dispute with a tenant who became angry and slapped her in the face. Officers observed visible swelling and skin irritation on the left side of the victim’s face.
The victim was provided with a case number and advised of her options. Amilcar Seliano Ramos Mejia was arrested, charged accordingly, and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.”
