The Rockville City Police Department (RCPD) responded to a shooting in the 200 blk of N Washington St at approximately 6pm on Thursday, June 12.
Per Rockville Police: “On June 12, 2025, shortly after 6:00 p.m., the Rockville City Police Department responded to the 200 block of N. Washington St. for a shooting. An adult male victim was found to be suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported by the Montgomery County Division of Fire Rescue to an area hospital and is in stable condition.
Responding officers located and took two suspects into custody. Rockville City Police detectives are actively investigating the incident. The 200 block of N. Washington St. will be closed for an extended period for investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at [email protected] or 240-314-8900. Those who provide information may choose to remain anonymous.
According to public safety reporter Cordell Pugh, one person has been shot with serious to critical injuries. Two suspects are in custody and at least one gun has been recovered. Several witnesses have shared that they witnessed a man being tended to by emergency personnel, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has shared that North Washington Street between Dawson Avenue and Beall Avenue is currently closed. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route. Expect significant delays.
