Police Investigate Homicide in Rockville Saturday Morning

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a homicide on the 600 block of Blandford St. in Rockville on Saturday morning.

2:56 update per MCPD: “On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 7:51 a.m., officers from Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Police responded to an apartment building at the location for a check the welfare call.

Upon arrival, officers entered an apartment and located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The decedent will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.

This is an active and ongoing investigation. No suspect information is available at this time.”

In a separate incident in the same area (600 block of Blandford St.) on June 11th, police responded to an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

During the June 11 investigation, a 17-year-old suspect from Lanham, Maryland was identified. The suspect was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Detectives from the Rockville City Police Department assumed the criminal investigation, recovered a privately made firearm (PMF) also known as a “ghost gun” and other evidence related to the incident.
