The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday morning in Rockville.
2:56 update per MCPD: “On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 7:51 a.m., officers from Rockville City Police and Montgomery County Police responded to an apartment building at the location for a check the welfare call.
Upon arrival, officers entered an apartment and located an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The decedent will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause and manner of death.
This is an active and ongoing investigation. No suspect information is available at this time..”
MCPD issued the following incident alert at 9:17am: “MCPD is investigating a homicide in the 600 block of Blandford Street in Rockville. The scene is secured. More information will be released as it becomes available.”
