Maryland Gas Station Eats Go Viral

Recently, an Instagram post featuring “restaurant quality eats” served at gas stations across the state of Maryland went viral locally (see video below). We’ve added a few more standout options and provided additional details about the restaurants highlighted in the video to help Marylanders discover where they can enjoy quality eats at these gas stations.

168 Asian Burrito (Montgomery County): 168 Asian Burrito, located within the Exxon at located at 18000 Georgia Avenue, was named by Yelp as a “Top Sushi Spot in 2024” in a nationwide list. While 168 Asian Burrito made it onto the sushi list, their menu doesn’t offer traditional sushi options. Instead, they offer “Asian burritos/rice bowls” along with Baos and a variety of sides. Most of the burritos and bowls contain ingredients often found in popular sushi rolls. “I like Olney. The people are so nice and very friendly.” Owner Peter Chen told us. “Every day is a good day because of the people.”

Taqueria el Cabrito (Anne Arundel County): Nestled at 317 Buschs Frontage Road in Annapolis, Taqueria el Cabrito is celebrated for its authentic Mexican cuisine, offering a vibrant culinary experience that transports diners south of the border. Known for its flavorful tacos, burritos, and other traditional dishes, the restaurant consistently earns high praise for its fresh ingredients and the genuine taste of its homemade salsas.
