Maryland Native Kevin Durant Says Micah Parsons Will Be a Washington Commander in Two Years

Maryland native Kevin Durant has made headlines today following his trade from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets. However, he’s also gaining attention for his comments about Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher Micah Parsons potentially joining Durant’s favorite team, the Washington Commanders, within the next two years (video below).

During FanaticsFest, Durant was asked whether he would like to recruit Parsons to the Commanders. Durant confidently stated, “I think he will be a Commander at some point in his career.” When pressed for a timeline, Durant speculated, “I would say two years from now.”

Parsons, who was called over during the interview, responded with, “I only rock with Dan Quinn,” referring to his former defensive coordinator with the Cowboys, who is now the head coach of Washington. To this, Durant replied, “That’s all he needs to rock with,” concluding that segment of the interview.

Parsons has quickly established himself as one of the most dominant and disruptive defensive players in the NFL since being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2021. Known for his explosive pass-rushing ability, elite athleticism, and versatility to play both linebacker and defensive end, Parsons has consistently been among the league leaders in sacks and quarterback pressures. His immediate impact earned him Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2021, and he has continued to be a perennial Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection, demonstrating an uncanny knack for disrupting opposing offenses and changing the momentum of games with his relentless pursuit and playmaking ability.
