The Takoma Park Police Department is investigating a delayed report of an armed robbery that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 5, 2025.
According to Takoma Park Police, “At approximately 4:30 am the victim was robbed at gunpoint while waiting at a bus stop in front of the Sunoco gas station located in the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue. The incident was reported later that same day at approximately 4:40 pm.
According to the victim, two unknown suspects approached him while he was at the bus stop. The first suspect, described as a Black male with a slim build, was wearing green shorts with blue stripes, slippers, and no shirt. The second suspect was described as a Black female with a slender build, wearing a white shirt and having long hair.
The victim stated that the male suspect initially approached him and asked if he had food, then asked if he had any money. When the victim responded that he did not, the male suspect brandished a black handgun and repeated the question. The victim complied. Both suspects then fled on foot toward the U-Haul facility in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
