Germantown Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Triple Shooting

Montgomery County Police have arrested 44-year-old Nicholas Lloyd of Germantown for allegedly shooting three people during an ongoing dispute outside his home on Shadyside Way on July 16, 2025. He faces multiple attempted murder and assault charges and is being held without bond.

According to MCPD, “At approximately 11:51 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the location for the report of a shooting. The investigation by detectives has revealed that there had been an ongoing dispute involving several individuals. At approximately 10 p.m., three adult males and an adult female were outside of Lloyd’s home, as a result of this dispute. Lloyd fired a rifle from his balcony at the group, striking three of the four individuals outside the residence.

Following the shooting, Llyod ran out of his home and rendered aid to one of the male victims. That victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A second male victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A third male victim sustained a grazing wound and was treated and released from the scene.The female outside the residence was not injured.

Officers recovered Lloyd’s rifle, placed Lloyd under arrest and transported him to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder, three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and handgun related charges. He is being held without bond.”
