Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded early Thursday morning to a reported house fire in the 12000 block of Wetherfield Lane in Potomac.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, the homeowner was alerted by smoke alarms, and all occupants, including several cats, safely evacuated without injuries. Firefighters located a burned power strip in an office, with no extension of the fire. The two residents were able to reoccupy the home.
