The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) issued a traffic advisory following an incident involving a pedestrian on Wayne Avenue between Colesville Road and Cameron Street in Silver Spring on Friday afternoon.
The pedestrian, an adult female, was struck around 1:27 p.m. and is being evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) responded to the scene and is providing medical assistance. Authorities have confirmed that the driver involved remained at the scene.
Wayne Avenue is currently closed between Colesville Road and Cameron Street. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
