Police Respond to Monday Morning Shooting

Updated to include information on victim’s condition.

This morning, Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 3D officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lockwood Drive and New Hampshire Avenue In White Oak following reports of a shooting. The call came in at 9:47 am.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim who had been shot. Officers applied a tourniquet to the victim to control the bleeding. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (@MCFRS) were also on the scene to provide further medical assistance.

At this time, no information about a suspect is available. Authorities are likely to continue their investigation to gather more details about the incident. MCPD shared an update stating that the “male victim transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening wound to the arm. No age available for the victim.”

MCPD initially shared the following regarding the incident, “3D officers dispatched at 9:47 a.m. to Lockwood Dr. and New Hampshire Ave. One male shot. Officers applied a tourniquet. @MCFRS on scene. No suspect information available.
