The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a theft at Macy’s in Westfield Wheaton Mall.
According to police, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, around 4:35 p.m., a male suspect stole clothing and pointed a knife at a loss prevention officer who attempted to stop him. The suspect, described as a Hispanic male wearing a dark shirt with an American flag, Adidas hat, dark pants, black and white Nike shoes, and carrying a black backpack, fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding this case to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County.
