This past spring we let you know that Fork & Kitchen signed on to open at 150 Gibbs St. in The Square (formerly Rockville Town Square). Initially aiming for a summer opening, a few delays were encountered, but interior construction has begun and the restaurant could open later this year (photos below).
Fork & Kitchen will be taking over the 6,500 SF space that previously occupied by Ekó House and was the longtime home of Bar Louie before that. Ekó House closed in January 2024 after operating for approximately two years. Before that, Bar Louie operated in the space from June 2012 until January 2020.
Described as a new American restaurant with a Southern flare, Fork & Kitchen will have menu highlights that include “fluffy pancakes and biscuits with honey butter.” Read more about what’s new and coming soon to The Square in Rockville.
