Montgomery County Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday morning, October 5, 2025, in Rockville.
At approximately 8:31 a.m., officers from the 1st and 2nd Districts and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Montrose Rd. and Tildenwood Dr. following reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist (initially reported as a cyclist by MCPD before further clarification).
According to a preliminary investigation, the motorcyclist was struck by a red 2014 Toyota Camry that was making a left turn from Montrose [Road] onto Tildenwood Drive. The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was not injured. The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation. A news release will be issued once additional details become available, including the name of the victim, following notification of next of kin.
