All MCPS High School Graduations Moving to UMBC in 2026

Beginning with the Class of 2026, all Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) high school graduation ceremonies will be held at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

MCPS spokesperson Liliana López confirmed the change, noting that “this change ensures a comfortable indoor setting, easy access for families, and lower costs, thanks to districtwide negotiations.” She added that more details, including transportation options, will be provided to families in the coming months.

In past years, MCPS graduations were held at a variety of locations, including DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., UMBC, and several MCPS school campuses.

  • Clarksburg High School — Wednesday, June 10 @ 9:00 a.m.
