The Washington Commanders have officially ruled out wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown for Monday night’s matchup with the Chicago Bears.
McLaurin, dealing with a quadriceps injury, was listed as a non-participant in the team’s Thursday and Friday practices and was not spotted on the field during Saturday’s session. His continued absence sealed the decision that he will not play. McLaurin has not played since the team’s week 3 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Brown, currently managing groin and knee injuries, practiced in a limited capacity earlier in the week but ultimately was not cleared for Monday’s game. Brown, who caught the Hail Mary to beat the Beard last season, has not played since getting injured in the week 2 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
With both receivers unavailable, the Commanders’ passing attack will continue to rely more heavily on Deebo Samuel (dealing with a bruised heel issue of his own), Zach Ertz, Luke McCaffrey, and Jaylin Lane.
