“Real Maryland Boys Are Commanders Fans” Proclaimed Country Artist Luke Borchelt

Up-and-coming country star Luke Borchelt is proudly representing Maryland, and the Washington Commanders. Earlier this week, Borchelt shared an Instagram post from Monday Night Football, where he stood on the field in a Commanders jersey during the team’s game against the Chicago Bears. His caption read: “Real Maryland Boys are Commanders Fans.”

The Anne Arundel County-born singer-songwriter, who’s been gaining national attention with his heartfelt brand of country music, has deep roots in the region. He recently performed at Ocean City’s Country Calling festival, joining a lineup of rising and established country artists on the beach.

Adding to his growing Maryland fanbase, Montgomery County native Jon Bernthal,  actor and star of The Punisher and The Bear , posted a video showing Borchelt performing a song for Bernthal and his daughter on what appeared to be the actor’s porch. The clip captured Borchelt’s raw acoustic style and easy charisma that’s helping him stand out in the modern country scene.

Borchelt, who signed with Droptine Recordings and Sony Music Publishing, has been touring across the country, including a recent run with Shaboozey, but he’s made it clear his Maryland roots remain front and center. Whether on stage, at Northwest Stafium, or strumming tunes for a fellow local legend, Luke Borchelt is proving that Maryland pride runs deep…and so does his Commanders loyalty.
