The Washington Wizards are extending a helping hand to federal employees impacted by the ongoing government shutdown by offering 500 free tickets to this Sunday’s home game against the Charlotte Hornets.
The team announced that the complimentary tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, providing an opportunity for government workers and their families to enjoy a night out at Capital One Arena. Once the initial 500 free tickets have been claimed, additional tickets will be available for $10 each to all government employees with valid federal identification.
The initiative is part of the Wizards’ continued efforts to support the DMV community during challenging times. With the government shutdown affecting thousands of local workers and families, the organization hopes the offer can provide a bit of relief and entertainment during an uncertain period.
The Wizards host the Hornets on Sunday, October 26th, with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m. at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
