Montgomery County Police (MCPD) are investigating a late-night shooting that occurred Tuesday in the 3500 block of Sheffield Manor Terrace in Silver Spring.
Officers from the department’s 3rd District were dispatched to the scene around 11:05 pm for the report of a shooting. According to police, upon arrival, they located one adult victim suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Police say the scene has been secured, and there are currently no suspects in custody. Detectives remain on the scene as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
MCPD at 11:27pm on Wednesday night: “MCPD 3D officers dispatched at 11:05 p.m to the 3500 block of Sheffield Manor Terrace for the report of a shooting. Preliminarily, one adult victim with non-life-threatening injuries. The scene is secure. No suspects in custody. This is an ongoing investigation.”
