Updated to reflect the restaurant is not affiliated with Bob’s Shanghai in Rockville.
Bob’s Bethesda, which initially went by Bob’s Shanghai Bethesda, has officially signed on to open at 7776 Norfolk Ave., the former home of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza.
Anthony’s closed in September 2024 after nearly five years in the space, leaving a high-profile restaurant vacancy on the ground floor of the Windsor Bethesda building.
Bob’s is aiming for a spring 2026 opening. The Bob’s Shanghai 66 on North Washington Street in Rockville is not related to this restaurant. The news was first reported by Robert Dyer.
