Suspects Flee After Violent Early-Morning Carjacking Attempt

Takoma Park Police are investigating an attempted carjacking that occurred early Monday morning, leaving a victim injured and property stolen.

According to police, officers responded to the 900 block of Anne Street at approximately 1:13 a.m. on November 24, 2025, for a report of two suspects who attempted to carjack a man sitting inside his parked vehicle.

The victim told officers he was approached by two unknown males, one who opened the passenger door and another who opened the driver’s door while ordering him out of the vehicle. The suspect at the driver’s side implied that he had a firearm concealed in his jacket pocket.

A struggle followed. During the altercation, one suspect pulled out a crowbar and struck the victim multiple times. Police say the second suspect entered the driver’s seat and attempted to steal the vehicle, but the victim was able to push him out. As the victim fled in his vehicle, one of the suspects swung the crowbar and shattered the rear windshield.

The victim managed to flag down officers nearby. Fire and Rescue personnel responded, and he received medical treatment at the scene. Police say the suspects stole property from the victim before fleeing.

Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Broken glass and other items believed to be connected to the incident were recovered near the scene and impounded as evidence. The investigation remains ongoing under case #250052634. Anyone with information is asked to contact Takoma Park Police at 301-270-1100.
