Drivers heading west on Park Road toward MD 355 will now spot a new splash of civic pride above them. On Monday, the City of Rockville announced the unveiling of a freshly painted “I ❤️ Rockville” message on the CSX bridge, a collaboration made possible by CSX, Manolis Painting Inc., and the city’s Department of Public Works. The artwork was installed earlier that morning and immediately became a standout visual for one of Rockville’s busiest corridors.
The project reflects Rockville’s continued efforts to enhance gateways into the city and create a strong sense of place for residents and visitors. It also builds on recent beautification work happening just a few blocks away.
In September, those passing through Rockville Town Center noticed another major visual upgrade: large window decals spelling out “Town Center” with Rockville’s new signature branded “R” were added to the WMATA pedestrian bridge over Rockville Pike. Installed by the Department of Public Works Operations Maintenance team, the bold design spans both sides of the bridge, making it visible to pedestrians, drivers, and Metro riders traveling through the heart of the city.
Combined, the two projects continue Rockville’s push to strengthen its identity and elevate key entry points with bright, welcoming, highly visible branding.
