A new restaurant is on the way to the Cloverly Village Center, where Eri Star Café is preparing to move into the longtime former home of Buffalo Wings & Beer at 15412 New Hampshire Avenue. The space has sat vacant for nearly four years, but new signage now confirms that activity has finally returned to the storefront.
Buffalo Wings & Beer closed in January 2022 after many years in the center. At the time, the owners of the since-closed Dominic’s Italian Grille announced plans to open Bourbon, Wings, and Beer (B.W.B.) in the same space. The project appeared to be moving forward, B.W.B. LLC was granted a Class B beer, wine, and liquor license by Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services during a May 19, 2022 hearing, and renovations began shortly afterward.
However, by late 2022, progress stalled. Signage for B.W.B. was removed, “for lease” signs went up, and in December 2022 The MoCo Show confirmed that the planned restaurant would not be opening after all. The space has remained empty ever since.
Now, Eri Star Café appears poised to change that. Signage recently installed at the location signals the arrival of the new concept. While details are still limited, the name strongly suggests that the restaurant may serve Eritrean cuisine, but no official information about menu or timeline has been released. We will share updates as soon as additional details become available.
