Joy By Seven Reasons will close its Chevy Chase location, ending its run after a little more than three years in Montgomery County. A representative from the restaurant confirmed that the final day of service will be Sunday, December 21, during a phone call on Friday afternoon.
Located at 5471 Wisconsin Avenue, Joy By Seven Reasons opened in October 2022 as a Latin American concept from Seven Restaurant Group co-founders Enrique Limardo and Ezequiel Vazquez-Ger. The group is also behind popular Washington, D.C. restaurants Seven Reasons and Imperfecto.
The Chevy Chase restaurant brought a more casual, neighborhood-focused spinoff of the acclaimed Seven Reasons brand to Wisconsin Avenue, offering Latin American-inspired dishes and cocktails. No reason for the closure has been publicly announced, and it is unclear what may take over the space.
The location has seen multiple restaurant concepts in recent years. Prior to Joy By Seven Reasons, the space was home to Little Beet Table, a gluten-free restaurant that opened in November 2019. Little Beet Table temporarily closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, reopened in May 2021, and then permanently shuttered in March 2022.
