TJ Maxx, located at 8661 Colesville Rd. inside Ellsworth Place mall in Downtown Silver Spring, has permanently closed.
The store opened in the 24,000SF space in November 2015, bringing approximately 60 full and part-time jobs to the area. A newer TJ Maxx location opened in Burtonsville in March 2024, though that location is ten miles away. There are additional Montgomery County locations in Germantown, Olney, and Rockville. A potential replacement tenant has not yet been named.
TJ Maxx is an off-price retailer known for selling brand-name clothing, home goods, and accessories at discounted prices.
