Construction is set to begin on the upcoming Dunkin’ location in Rockville after the coffee and donut/coffee chain received its construction permit for the new store.
The Dunkin’ will be located at 4011 Norbeck Road, taking over a space that had long been home to Sassy Cleaners. The dry cleaner operated at the location for roughly three decades and officially closed in June 2025, bringing an end to a longstanding neighborhood business.
We first reported plans for the Norbeck Road Dunkin’ were first reported in August 2025. The new store will join a small shopping center that also includes Angelo’s Deli and EATHAI, near Big Greek Cafe, adding another quick-service option to the area.
Dunkin’ recently opened at 17700 Muncaster Road in Derwood and has plans to open a new store as part of the Rockshire Village redevelopment at 2401 Wootton Parkway across from Wootton High School, a mixed use project expected to be completed in 2027. Dunkin’/Baskin Robbins is also moving into 898 Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg, filling the former Starbucks space in Muddy Branch Square.
