Two adult men were injured Monday afternoon following a fight involving two dogs in Derwood, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) and the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).
MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer reported at 4:33pm that crews were dispatched to the area of Muncaster Road and Artesian Drive for a medical emergency involving injured persons as the result of a two dog fight. Fire and EMS units responded and treated two people at the scene.
Police later confirmed that at approximately 4:10pm, officers from the 6th District and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the same area for a reported fight involving two dogs. According to MCPD, two adult males were transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
No additional details about the dogs or how the incident unfolded have been released.
