Takoma Park Police Chief Antonio DeVaul announced the arrest of a Takoma Park woman in connection with a vandalism incident that damaged a residential property earlier this month.
Jamie Troil Goldfarb, 48, of Takoma Park, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, malicious destruction of property, and reckless endangerment.
According to Takoma Park Police, officers responded around 2:53pm on January 18 to the 6600 block of Cockerille Avenue for a reported vandalism. The homeowner reported that an unknown woman approached the residence on foot and, while standing on the sidewalk, threw what appeared to be a rock at the front window, shattering the glass. The suspect then fled eastbound on foot.
Video surveillance footage provided by the homeowner captured the incident and was reviewed by detectives. Through further investigation, detectives identified Goldfarb as the suspect. An arrest warrant was obtained, and detectives took her into custody without incident around 6:50pm on January 22.
Goldfarb was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit following her arrest. A mugshot was not provided in the press release.
