Wonder, a modern food hall concept that blends dine in, takeout, and delivery, is aiming for a March opening at its upcoming Rockville location (listed as Wonder North Bethesda).
The new Wonder location is under construction at 12240 Rockville Pike, in the space previously occupied by Stephen Anthony Salon, next to the recently opened California Fish Grill in Towne Plaza. Last month, Wonder began hiring and building out the site, and the company has since updated its website to list a March 2026 opening timeframe for Rockville.
Wonder is designed to combine multiple well known and chef driven restaurant concepts under one roof, allowing customers to order from several restaurants at once in a single order. The company describes its model as lightning fast food delivery, takeout, and dine in from iconic restaurants, all in one place.
Unlike a traditional food hall where each vendor operates independently, Wonder runs centralized kitchens and partners directly with established restaurant brands and chefs to recreate their menus. Each location serves as both a dine in destination and a delivery hub for the surrounding community, streamlining operations while expanding menu variety.
According to Wonder, the Rockville location will feature more than 15 restaurant concepts, offering a wide range of cuisines from poke and pasta to tacos and Thai. The ability for everyone in a group to order exactly what they want, all within a single transaction, is a key part of the experience. Wonder also emphasizes zero dollar delivery fees as part of its offering.
