Arby’s appears to be making a push to ensure Maryland truly “has the meats,” with at least three new locations planned across the state, including a long-awaited return to Montgomery County.
As previously reported, Arby’s is set to take over the former McDonald’s drive-thru site at 7200 Muncaster Mill Road in the Red Mill Shops shopping center in Rockville, marking its return to Montgomery County for the first time since 2021.
That closure left a noticeable gap locally, especially after one of the brand’s most iconic Maryland locations in Laurel shut down on Gorman Avenue last year following a 50-year run.
Now, new information from franchise operator Luis Group Management shows that the Muncaster Mill Road location is part of a broader expansion effort across Maryland. In addition to the Rockville site in Montgomery County, two more Arby’s locations are listed as “coming soon”:
- 6200 Annapolis Road in Landover Hills (Prince George’s County)
- Saint Lola Lane in Bowie (Prince George’s County)
All three locations are currently listed as hiring for multiple positions, signaling that development is actively moving forward.
