Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday evening on East West Highway in Silver Spring (3rd District – Silver Spring).
On Sunday, April 5, 2026, at approximately 7:51pm, 3rd District officers responded to the 1200 block of East West Highway for the report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male was shot by another male following a confrontation in a hallway.
The victim transported himself to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made at this time, and no suspect information is currently available.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County. Tips may remain anonymous, and a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
