Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday, April 5 in the area of Crabbs Branch Way and Moccasin Lane in Derwood.
A white 2021 Toyota Avalon traveling south on Crabbs Branch Way left the roadway and struck a tree for reasons that remain under investigation.
The driver, identified as 52-year-old Sukhbir Singh of Gaithersburg, was transported to a local hospital where he died the following morning on April 6. The investigation remains ongoing and may take several weeks to months to complete, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.
