The Montgomery County Police Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred Tuesday, April 7 near the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Manor Road in Chevy Chase.
The crash involved a gray 2026 Tesla Model Y making a left turn from southbound Connecticut Avenue onto eastbound Manor Road when it was struck by a northbound red 2015 BMW S1000 motorcycle for reasons still under investigation.
The motorcyclist, identified as 29-year-old Daniel Arthur Leone IV of Rockville, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Tesla, an adult female, remained on scene and was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
