Community Rallies Around Family of Gaithersburg Father Killed in Collision

A GoFundMe has been launched for the family of 52-year-old Sukhbir Singh of Gaithersburg, who died following a single-vehicle collision on April 5, as the community rallies to support his loved ones.

According to Montgomery County Police, officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel responded around 1:41 pm to the area of Crabbs Branch Way and Moccasin Lane in Derwood, where Singh’s vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. He was transported to a local hospital and died from his injuries on April 6. The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate the crash.

The fundraiser describes Singh as a devoted father, husband, and well-known sales consultant who built lasting relationships with customers and coworkers, many of whom knew him as “Suki.” It notes he died after his vehicle hydroplaned in heavy rain, and the family is seeking support to help cover medical and cremation expenses. He is survived by his wife, daughter, and son, with loved ones remembering him for his warmth, generosity, and ability to make others feel valued.
