Royal Farms Announces Opening Date For Second Montgomery County Location

Royal Farms is getting ready to open its newest Montgomery County location, bringing its signature fried chicken, made-to-order food, and 24/7 convenience to Silver Spring next month.

The Maryland-based chain announced that its new store at 9475 Georgia Avenue will officially open on May 4, 2026. Ahead of that, the company will host a special “Get Ready to ROFO” soft opening event on April 29 and 30, giving the community an early look inside. The news of the opening was reported on Wednesday by Source of the Spring.

The ticketed preview event will offer guests a complimentary meal from the soft opening menu along with a chance to experience the store’s service and setup before the official launch. Free tickets are being distributed through Eventbrite.

The new Silver Spring location will feature eight fuel dispensers and the brand’s full lineup of fresh, made-to-order options, including its well-known fried chicken, breakfast items, and sandwiches. Like other locations, it will operate 24/7.

This will mark the second Royal Farms location in Montgomery County, joining the Gaithersburg store that opened in 2022. Plans have also been submitted for what would become Royal Farms’ third location in Montgomery County, with a proposed convenience store and gas station slated for 397 Watkins Mill Road in Gaithersburg. The site would be located a little more than a mile from the existing Gaithersburg location, which marked the chain’s debut in the county when it opened in 2022.
