Montgomery County police have arrested three juveniles in connection with a pair of robberies targeting teenage victims in Germantown earlier this spring.
Detectives with the 5th District Investigative Section announced that the incidents occurred on back-to-back days in early March 2026, both along Great Seneca Highway.
The first robbery took place on March 4 around 2:26pm near Great Seneca Highway and Richter Farm Road. Police say a teenage male was followed from a nearby business by a group of suspects, who then confronted him at the intersection, displayed a knife, and demanded his belongings. The victim complied, and the suspects fled.
The following day, March 5 at approximately 3:53pm, officers responded to another robbery in the area of Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road. According to police, two suspects approached a teenage male at a park near Dairymaid Drive and Chalet Drive, grabbed him, and threatened him before taking his property. The victim handed over his belongings out of fear for his safety.
On April 8, detectives charged three Germantown juveniles in connection with the incidents. For the March 4 armed robbery, a 16-year-old male and a 16-year-old female were charged as adults with armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and theft. A 14-year-old male was charged as a juvenile with the same offenses, with his case referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.
In connection with the March 5 strong-arm robbery, the 16-year-old male faces additional juvenile charges of robbery, second-degree assault, and theft. The 14-year-old male was also charged as a juvenile in that case.
Police say the 16-year-old female was arrested April 7 on an active warrant and is being held at the Central Processing Unit. The 16-year-old male was already in custody on an unrelated charge when the warrant for these cases was served April 8, and he remains held.
Investigators also noted that the 16-year-old female has been charged in a separate armed robbery that occurred March 11 at a business in the 18200 block of Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg. That case is being handled by the 6th District Investigative Section.
