Molly Tea, a jasmine tea beverage franchise originating from Shenzhen, China, has announced it will open its Rockville location on Tuesday, April 21. The shop is located at 860 Festival Street and will share space with the upcoming Genki Wagyu House.
The menu will feature a variety of drinks including milk teas, matcha, iced teas, and fruit smoothies. The brand is known for its signature “Jasmine Whipped Cream Top,” which incorporates a jasmine-infused creamy foam designed to provide a floral and smooth flavor profile.
According to the company, Molly Tea draws inspiration from the “Four White Flowers of the East” and focuses on using mountain-grown tea leaves scented with fresh flowers, particularly jasmine. The brand emphasizes showcasing Chinese tea culture through its beverages and overall concept.
Genki Wagyu Shabu House has its liquor license hearing scheduled before Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services on Thursday, May 7. The hearing marks a key step in the approval process for the new restaurant. The location will feature an all-you-can-eat Wagyu concept offering shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and premium sushi. The opening will also mark Genki’s first restaurant in Maryland.
