Multiple Crashes Reported Across Montgomery County Monday Morning

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to several crashes across the county Monday morning, according to chief spokesperson Pete Piringer.

In White Oak, a two-vehicle collision was reported on Columbia Pike at Stewart Lane. In the Layhill area, a crash on Bel Pre Road at Astrodome Drive involved a passenger bus and a van that rear-ended it. Two patients were evaluated on scene and some lanes were blocked.

A separate collision was reported on the Outer Loop of I-495 between New Hampshire Avenue and University Boulevard before Exit 29. In Darnestown, crews also responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 3900 block of Darnestown Road near Vicars Way, close to the Darnestown Garden assisted living facility.
