Eater DC released its latest list of the “Best Steakhouses Around D.C.,” with a focus on original and smaller-scale steakhouses that have been open for roughly six months or more. While there are plenty of places to grab a steak in Maryland, only two Maryland restaurants made the list, and both are in Montgomery County.
J. Hollinger’s Waterman’s Chophouse in Silver Spring was recognized for its chef-driven menu, seafood offerings, and classic chophouse selections. Medium Rare, which has a location in Bethesda, also earned a spot for its approachable prix-fixe steak frites experience. For around $32.95, diners receive rustic bread, a mixed greens salad, and top sirloin steak served with hand-cut fries and the restaurant’s signature secret sauce, a formula that has helped the concept become a local favorite across multiple locations.
