Montgomery County Police and Fire Rescue responded to a reported hit and run Tuesday afternoon in Montgomery Village. MCPD later clarified that the driver of the striking vehicle involved in the collision at remained on scene. The vehicle crashed into nearby bushes after striking the victims.
According to MCPD, officers from the 6th District along with MCFRS units were dispatched to the area of Clubhouse Road and Centerway Road for a pedestrian struck. The adult female struck by a vehicle at Clubhouse and Centerway was transported to an area hospital with a broken leg. The child, an infant, was not injured but taken for evaluation. The driver of the striking vehicle declined transport and is cooperating with officers. The scene has been cleared.
