MCPD Reports Stabbing, Armed Robbery, School Threats and Multiple Vehicle Thefts in June 4 Summary

The Montgomery County Police Department shared an overview of reported calls for service from June 4, 2026.

In the 1st District, which covers Rockville, Potomac and surrounding communities, officers responded to a commercial burglary in the 1600 block of Research Boulevard between 11:50pm on June 3 and 8:20am on June 4. According to police, suspects broke into a vacant office building and stole property from inside. Officers also investigated a school threat at Wootton High School after a student reported that another student had posted photos of guns on social media and made threatening comments about the school.

In the 3rd District, which covers Silver Spring, Burtonsville and surrounding areas, a person was stabbed by two suspects during an argument in the 3700 block of Stepping Stone Lane at approximately 5:08pm. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Earlier in the day, at about 2:30pm, officers investigated an armed robbery on Valley Brook Drive near Springbrook High School. Police said two suspects displayed firearms and stole property from the victim. Officers also investigated the theft of a vehicle from the 13500 block of Greencastle Ridge Terrace between 9pm on June 3 and 7:10am on June 4.

In the 5th District, which covers Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus and Montgomery Village, officers investigated a school threat in the 10000 block of Durango Drive at 11:11pm. Police said a student posted threatening statements on social media, but investigators found no signs of explosives or weapons. Officers also investigated the theft of a vehicle from the 13000 block of Clarksburg Square Road at approximately 4:21am on June 5.

In the 6th District, which covers Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village and surrounding communities, officers investigated the theft of a vehicle from the 400 block of South Frederick Avenue between 8am and 1pm on June 4.
