New Dunkin Aiming for June 12 Opening

Final touches are now in place at the future Dunkin’ location at 4011 Norbeck Road in Rockville, and the company tells us it is currently aiming to open on June 12.

Construction began earlier this year after Dunkin’ received permits for the new store, which is replacing the longtime home of Sassy Cleaners. The dry cleaning business operated at the site for roughly 30 years before closing in June 2025, marking the end of a familiar neighborhood staple for many area residents.

Since our last update, work on both the interior and exterior has been completed. The new location will join a small shopping center that also includes Angelo’s Deli and EATHAI, and sits near Big Greek Cafe.

Plans for the Norbeck Road Dunkin’ were first reported in August 2025. The shop is one of several recent and planned Dunkin’ developments across the area. A new location opened earlier this year on Muncaster Road in Derwood, while another is planned as part of the Rockshire Village redevelopment on Wootton Parkway across from the current site of Wootton High School. Additionally, a Dunkin’/Baskin-Robbins is expected to open in Gaithersburg’s Muddy Branch Square, taking over the former Starbucks space at 898 Muddy Branch Road.
