Three adults and one child were displaced Saturday evening following a house fire in Chevy Chase, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer.
Around 6pm, firefighters responded to the 7300 block of Delfield Street for a reported fire at a single-family home.
Officials say the fire was contained to a utility room and its contents. The area of origin was identified as a storage space that contained flammable liquids, electrical items, and a battery-powered ride-on toy vehicle. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and has been classified as undetermined. Fire officials estimate the damage at approximately $15,000. Three adults and one child were displaced as a result of the incident.
