Montgomery County Police shared the following overview of reported calls for service from July 13, 2026.
The 2nd District, which serves Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and surrounding communities, reported a residential burglary in the 10300 block of Summit Avenue at approximately 6:06pm. According to police, someone entered a home through a door and stole property.
The 3rd District, which serves Silver Spring, Takoma Park, and surrounding areas, reported an auto theft in the 3100 block of Quartet Lane. A vehicle was stolen overnight between 9pm Monday and 6:30am Tuesday from in front of a townhome.
The 4th District, which serves Wheaton, Aspen Hill, Glenmont, and nearby communities, reported three incidents. At 8:42pm, a strong-arm robbery occurred in the 12500 block of Georgia Avenue, where a person was assaulted in a parking lot by two individuals who stole personal belongings. Officers also investigated the theft of tires and rims from a vehicle in the 10800 block of Amherst Avenue between 2:44am and 6am Monday, as well as the theft of a catalytic converter from a work van in the 18200 block of Paladin Drive sometime between 5pm Friday and 7:45am Monday.
The 5th District, which serves Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus, Montgomery Village, and surrounding communities, reported an auto theft in the 18000 block of Chalet Drive at 2:37am Tuesday. Police say two people broke a window and stole a vehicle. Officers later recovered the vehicle and arrested one suspect.
The 6th District, which serves Gaithersburg, Rockville, North Potomac, and surrounding areas, reported two auto thefts. One vehicle was stolen overnight in the 17500 block of Amity Drive between 8pm Sunday and 7am Monday. Another vehicle was reported stolen from a dealership service lot in the 600 block of N. Frederick Avenue, with the theft reported at 5:53pm Monday.
