Auto Thefts, Burglary And Weapons Arrests Included in July 14 Daily Crime Summary

The Montgomery County Police Department shared the following overview of reported calls for service from July 14, 2026.

In the 2nd District (Bethesda, Chevy Chase), officers responded to several overnight property crimes. These included the theft of tires and rims from a vehicle in the 5100 block of Pooks Hill Road, multiple thefts from vehicles in the 4800 block of Broad Branch Drive, an auto theft and an attempted auto theft in the 5100 block of Pooks Hill Road, and a residential garage burglary in the 5900 block of Maplewood Park Place where a garage was broken into and items were stolen from a vehicle parked in the driveway.

In the 3rd District (Silver Spring, Takoma Park), an overnight auto theft was reported in the 3600 block of Autumn Glen Circle. Officers also arrested two individuals during a weapons and controlled dangerous substances (CDS) investigation near Georgia Avenue and Sligo Avenue, where one suspect was found in possession of a handgun and another was found in possession of CDS.

In the 4th District (Wheaton, Aspen Hill, Kemp Mill, Olney, and surrounding communities), an overnight auto theft was reported in the 12500 block of Bushey Drive.

In the 5th District (Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus, Montgomery Village, and surrounding areas), officers responded to a person in crisis in the 19500 block of Frederick Road, where an adult male in crisis was located inside a home. A motorcycle was also reported stolen from the 13500 block of Demetrias Way.

In the 6th District (Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village, North Potomac, and surrounding areas), an overnight auto theft was reported in the 9300 block of Corporate Boulevard. Officers also responded to a residential burglary in the 90 block of Central Avenue, where a home under construction was broken into and wiring was stolen.
