Montgomery County Department of Police officers responded to several serious incidents across the county on Monday, July 27, according to the department’s daily crime summary.
In the 1st District (Rockville, Potomac), officers responded to an armed carjacking around 10 p.m. in the 500 block of Hungerford Dr. A suspect displayed a handgun, ordered the driver out of the vehicle, and drove away.
In the 2nd District (Bethesda, Chevy Chase), a residential burglary was reported Monday after occurring between 1:29 and 3:22 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, in the 4700 block of Hampden La. Someone forced entry into an apartment building and stole property from a storage room.
In the 3rd District (Silver Spring, Aspen Hill), a vehicle was stolen at 5:31 a.m. from the 1700 block of Elton Rd. Later in the day, at 1:12 p.m., lug nuts were stolen from a vehicle’s tires in the 12300 block of La Plata St.
In the 4th District (Wheaton, Glenmont), two vehicles were stolen overnight from the same parking lot in the 1100 block of University Blvd. W. One theft occurred between 1 and 7 a.m., while the second occurred between 1 and 9:30 a.m.
In the 5th District (Germantown, Clarksburg), a vehicle was stolen overnight between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:07 a.m. Monday from the 11900 block of Cliffrose Dr.
In the 6th District (Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village), three suspects drove onto a dealership lot in the 8000 block of Snouffer School Rd. at 2:16 a.m. and stole a vehicle.
