The Montgomery County Department of Police has released its daily crime summary, highlighting several reported incidents from across the county on July 28.
In the 1st District, which covers Rockville and Potomac, police reported a vehicle theft from the 2200 block of McAuliffe Dr. The theft occurred sometime between 1pm on Saturday, July 25, and 9:30am on Sunday, July 26.
In the 2nd District, which covers Bethesda and Chevy Chase, officers arrested two suspects after they allegedly removed the wheels from a vehicle in the 10400 block of Montrose Ave. at approximately 2:03am. Police said stolen property was recovered.
In the 3rd District, which covers Silver Spring, officers responded to an aggravated assault in the unit block of Featherwood Ct. at 11:58pm. According to police, during an argument, one man struck another man in the head with a hard object, injuring the victim. Police also reported an overnight vehicle theft in the unit block of Scarlet Sage Ct. at approximately 3:26am.
In the 4th District, which covers Wheaton and Aspen Hill, police reported a burglary at a school’s pool area in the 13500 block of Layhill Rd. at approximately 5:45pm on Sunday, July 26. According to the report, someone entered the pool area, stole property, and threw items into the pool. Officers also reported a vehicle stolen from a parking lot in the 2400 block of Reedie Dr. at approximately 4:20am.
