Sakura Go is aiming to open by the end of summer at 20940-B Frederick Road in the Neelsville Village Center in Germantown. The restaurant is currently finalizing its back-of-house hiring as it prepares to open in the coming weeks.
Sakura Go will take over the former BGR, short for “Burgers Grilled Right,” which closed in January 2025. Permanent signage for Sakura Go was installed at the space last year.
According to the restaurant’s website, Sakura Go offers a menu featuring hibachi dishes, poke bowls and pho, blending Japanese and Vietnamese flavors with an emphasis on fresh ingredients. The restaurant also offers online ordering and catering.
The Germantown restaurant will join Sakura Go locations in Clinton and Kettering, Maryland. An exact opening date has not yet been announced.
