Montgomery County Police shared an overview of reported calls for service from Monday, August 10, including burglaries, auto thefts, damaged ATMs and the theft of seven catalytic converters.
In the 1st District, which includes Rockville, Potomac and parts of North Bethesda, police reported damage to three bank ATMs. One was in the unit block of W. Edmonston Dr. sometime between Saturday afternoon and 8:37am Monday. Another was in the 12100 block of Rockville Pike around 3am Sunday, while damage to an ATM in the 12000 block of Rockville Pike was reported at 9:03am Monday.
In the 2nd District, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington and portions of North Bethesda, a residential burglary was reported in the 6000 block of Benalder Dr. Someone forced entry into a home and took property sometime between 6:35am and 9:48am.
In the 3rd District, which includes Silver Spring, White Oak, Burtonsville and nearby areas, police reported two burglaries and an auto theft. A business in the 8400 block of Colesville Rd. was broken into between midnight and 5am Monday, and property was taken. A vehicle was stolen from the 14700 block of McKnew Rd. sometime between 6:30pm Sunday and 9:20am Monday. Later Monday, a resident in the 10800 block of Lockwood Dr. found a man inside their home between 3pm and 3:55pm. The man ran off with property.
In the 4th District, which includes Wheaton, Glenmont, Aspen Hill, Olney and surrounding areas, a commercial burglary was reported at 10:22am in the 13300 block of New Hampshire Ave. A business was entered while closed and property was taken. Police also reported seven catalytic converters stolen from vehicles at locations on Windham Ln., Camellia Dr., Bucknell Dr., Bel Pre Rd., Valleywood Dr. and Foxhall Dr. Two of the thefts occurred on Windham Ln.
In the 5th District, which includes Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus and surrounding areas, two vehicles were reported stolen. One was taken from a parking lot in the 13600 block of Little Seneca Pkwy. sometime between 3pm Sunday and 7:30am Monday. Another was stolen from the 19200 block of Frederick Rd. between 6am and 7:15am Monday.
In the 6th District, which includes Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village and surrounding areas, four people entered a business in the 9000 block of Comprint Ct. through an unlocked door after hours at approximately 2:41am. Police said nothing appeared to have been taken.
