Construction Set to Begin on Angelo’s New Gaithersburg Location

Nearly a year after we first reported that Angelo’s Pizza Pasta and Deli had signed on to open a new location in Gaithersburg, the restaurant is moving closer to making its debut.

A building permit valued at $200,000 was recently issued for construction at Angelo’s upcoming location at North Pointe at Flower Hill, a new 16,000 SF retail and restaurant center at 18251 Flower Hill Way.Angelo’s will be the brand’s second location in the area, joining its Rockville restaurant at 4011 Norbeck Road.

The restaurant’s menu features pizza, pasta, wings, subs and calzones, along with specialty pizzas including Chicken Tikka, Southwest Chipotle, and Truffle and Burrata. According to Angelo’s, its dough is prepared fresh daily, sauces are made from scratch, and pizzas are made using carefully sourced cheeses and toppings.

Angelo’s describes itself as a neighborhood-focused restaurant centered around bringing friends, families and neighbors together over traditional Italian-American favorites.

Several other businesses have also recently opened or are preparing to open at North Pointe at Flower Hill. The lineup includes PJ’s Coffee, Oak Barrel & Vine, Inspire Nail Bar, and Plaza Mexico. Plaza Mexico is expected to serve as the center’s anchor and will feature a rooftop restaurant and bar.

We will provide an update when an opening timeframe for Angelo’s is announced.
